The holiday season is the time of year when families and friends like to get together, and one of the best things to do together is to pull out some board games. It’s a great time to make memories with your family and they always seem to bring families together.

We recently received a “Raise the Fun” kit from Hasbro including 7 classic games and a challenge to raise the fun by adding a twist to some of our favourite classic games. For example, combining make-up with clue by making-up a player to look like a falsely accused character as a penalty, combing musical chairs with Connect Four, or sucking on a lemon whenever the Game of Life turns sour. The girls couldn’t wait to play and test the challenge.

The girls love playing Hungry Hungry Hippos in general, but playing with our feet added a fun new dimension to the game that had them begging us to play more!

Trying to play Jenga with chopsticks turned out to be a real challenge, especially since the girls just barely know how to use them!

Operation is one of their all-time favourite games and they thought having to use a “human table” was hilarious. The best part is that they had fun being a table as much as they had fun “performing surgery.”

Playing twister with their shirts stuffed was honestly the best thing I have watched in awhile. Their shirts are too little for pillows but stuffed animals did the trick!

We can’t wait to play all our new Hasbro games through the holiday season and raise the game with our extended family too!

Win it:
