This Crumpled Paper Sunflower Craft is a fun summer craft for kids. The free printable sunflower template makes it an easy craft for anyone from preschoolers and up!
Crumpled Paper Sunflower Craft
List of Supplies:
Colored craft papers
Scissors
Pencil
Craft glue
Popsicle stick or cardstock paper – for the stem
sunflower template
Instructions:
Step -1:
Select colored craft papers for the sunflower (yellow and brown colored craft papers). Cut the selected papers into small square pieces (about 3cm X 3cm will do).
Step -2:
Crumple the square papers into small ball shapes one by one. Trace the sunflower pattern (from the sunflower template) on a piece of craft paper and cut it out using scissors.
Step – 3:
Take the brown crumpled ball shapes and start to glue them on the center part of the cut out flower pattern.
Step – 4:
Once you are done filling the center part of the sunflower pattern, start adding the yellow crumpled ball shapes to fill the petal parts.
Step – 5:
Continue to add the yellow crumpled ball shapes until all the petals are filled.
Step – 6:
Prepare some green colored crumpled papers and trace the leaf (from the template) shape on a craft paper as well.
Step – 7:
Fill the leaf cut out with the green colored crumpled papers.
Step – 8:
Grab a popsicle stick or cut out a cardstock strip for the stem. Attach the sunflower on one end of the popsicle stick/ cardstock strip and glue the leaf below the flower. Allow the glue to dry.
