Cinderella Inspired Pumpkin Jar

I was at Dollarama a couple weeks ago and found a glass pumpkin jar.  I was immediately reminded of Cinderella’s coach so I took that idea and ran with it. Cinderella is one of my most favourite Disney Princesses so I thought this would be a fun project to tackle.

I love the result.  It’s perfect for grown up Halloween decor that is both fun and chic.  Plus its a great place to hide some treats away!

Supplies:

Glass Pumpkin Jar
Green Painters Tape
White Spray Paint
Metallic Glitter Spray Paint

To get started you will want to tape off the stub or handle on the lid.  Feel free to paint that part too but I like the look of the bare glass and it makes it a bit easier to handle when painting.

Take everything outside or to a well ventilated area.  I used drop clothes so that clean up would be easy.

Next I gave  both pieces 2 good coats of the spray paint, drying between coats as per the instructions on the paint cans.

Once the white paint was dried I applied two thin coats of glitter paint and allowed it to completely dry.

All done!

It’s such an easy project and makes for a pretty cool Halloween centrepiece.

I used gold glitter paint but I think Silver would have worked pretty pretty well for the theme of Cinderella.
