Cinderella Inspired Pumpkin Jar
I was at Dollarama a couple weeks ago and found a glass pumpkin jar.ย I was immediately reminded of Cinderellaโs coach so I took that idea and ran with it. Cinderella is one of my most favourite Disney Princesses so I thought this would be a fun project to tackle. ย
I love the result.ย Itโs perfect for grown up Halloween decor that is both fun and chic.ย Plus its a great place to hide some treats away!
Supplies:
Glass Pumpkin Jar
Green Painters Tape
White Spray Paint
Metallic Glitter Spray Paint
ย
To get started you will want to tape off the stub or handle on the lid.ย Feel free to paint that part too but I like the look of the bare glass and it makes it a bit easier to handle when painting.
Take everything outside or to a well ventilated area.ย I used drop clothes so that clean up would be easy.
Next I gaveย both pieces 2 good coats of the spray paint, drying between coats as per the instructions on the paint cans.
ย
Once the white paint was dried I applied two thin coats of glitter paint and allowed it to completely dry.ย
All done!ย
Itโs such an easy project and makes for a pretty cool Halloween centrepiece.
I used gold glitter paint but I think Silver would have worked pretty pretty well for the theme of Cinderella.ย

this looks beautiful now, so much nicer than mere glass. You did a super job of turning something ordinary into something special ๐
Amazing what can be done with a little imagination!
Oh, I love this idea! You really demonstrate how a fresh coat of paint and creativity can refresh anything!
I literally thought that pumpkin was store-bought like that! You did an AMAZING job. I love pumpkin decorations. I was at HomeSense the other day and wanted to buy all the pumpkin decorations!
What a cool idea! And something I could do. You have to love some of the finds at the dollar store! Thanks for sharing!

I saw those pumpkin jars there the last time I went in, think I might have to go back and pick up a couple. Never thought of painting them, thanks for the great idea!
I have a similar glass pumpkin jar, from last year. Love the look with the paint…I bet black would look good too!
