Cinderella Cupcakes
Cupcake Recipe
  • 3 C flour
  • 2 C sugar
  • 3 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 4 eggs
  • 4 tsp vanilla
  • 1 C sweet cream
  • 1 C milk
  • Recipe makes 24 cupcakes.
Frosting Recipe
  • 5 C powdered sugar
  • 1 C sweet cream
  • 4 TBSP heavy whipping cream
  • 4-5 drops of blue food colouring
Royal Icing Recipe
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1/4 tsp cream of tartar
  • 1 tsp almond extract
  • 2 +C powdered sugar
  • Blue food colouring
  1. -Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. -Line cupcake pan.
  3. -Sift flour and baking powder together in a bowl.
  4. -Cream the powdered sugar and sweet cream together in a large bowl with an electric mixer.
  5. -Add the eggs one at a time to the powered sugar and sweet cream while continuing to mix.
  6. -Mix in the vanilla.
  7. -Add the flour and baking powder combination to the powdered sugar, sweet cream, eggs, and vanilla bowl.
  8. -Slowly mix in the milk.
  9. -Stir to ensure all ingredients are thoroughly combined.
  10. -Bake at 350 degrees for 15-18 minutes.
  11. -Using a toothpick, check to see if the cupcakes are done.
  12. -Cool for 10-15 minutes on a rack.
Frosting Directions
  1. -Cream sweet cream and powdered sugar until it appears to be small pebbles.
  2. -Add heavy whipping cream.
  3. -Check to see if frosting can make and hold a stiff peak.
  4. -If not add 1/2 C more of powdered sugar.
  5. -Mix together.
  6. -Test again for stiffness.
  7. -If not add another 1/2 C of powdered sugar.
  8. -Mix well.
  9. -Test for stiffness.
  10. -Divide frosting equally into 2 bowls.
  11. -Add 4-5 drops of blue food colouring to frosting in 1 of the bowls.
  12. -In a pastry bag with tip scoop in the white frosting.
  13. -Turn the pastry bag to the other side and add the blue frosting.
  14. -Test the filled pastry bag with frosting to make sure the combination of frosting colours come out of the tip.
  15. - Frost.
Royal Icing Directions
  1. -Combine all ingredients together on medium speed for 4 minutes.
  2. -If icing is not white add more powdered sugar.
  3. -Spoon a very small amount of the royal icing, add blue food colouring, stir to mix.
Directions for making the Slipper
  1. -Search Google for the cartoon image of the slipper.
  2. -Copy/paste the image to word.
  3. -Save to your folder.
  4. -Print the copy of the slipper.
  5. -Tape the paper with the slipper on it to a cookie sheet.
  6. -Cut/tear the wax paper to fit the other page.
  7. -Tape the wax paper to the cookie sheet to cover the other page .
  8. -Using the royal icing with a #2 tip trace the slipper.
  9. -If it is to be outlined...Trace this first.
  10. -Fill in the slipper with more royal icing.
  11. -Add small blue bow to slipper with blue royal icing.
  12. -Allow to dry 5-10 hours.
  13. -Gently push in on one of the images to make sure they are dry,
  14. -If they allow you to push in they are not dry.
  15. -Once the slipper is dry....remove the tape from the wax paper holding it to the cookie sheet.
  16. -Cut the wax paper into squares surrounding the slippers.
  17. -Gently peel the wax paper from the back of the slippers.
  18. -Make a small cut in the centre of the frosted cupcake on the top in the frosting only.
  19. -Sit the prepared slipper in that small cut.
