Christmas Cake Tutorial: Christmas Lights Cake
Ingredients
  • Vanilla or Lemon Cake Frosted
  • Airheads variety of flavours including watermelon
  • Green Decorating Gel optional
Instructions
  1. Microwave Airheads for 3-5 seconds on wax paper to keep the Airheads from sticking to surfaces. This will make them easier to work with, or you can rub them between your hands until warm and soft. Do this one or two at a time.
  2. For the Christmas bulbs, use any flavour of your choices, cut into pieces roughly the size of the bulb you want to craft.
  3. Roll into a Christmas bulb shape and set aside.
  4. Stretch out a watermelon flavoured Airheads slightly then use a plastic piping tip to cut circles out.
  5. Press the green circles onto each bulb you have created to complete the look. Use a butter knife to create the rings around the green portion of the bulbs.
  6. Place the bulbs around the cake in any pattern you like and use the green decorating gel to create the appearance of a string of lights. Alternatively you can mould watermelon airheads into a string shape.
  7. Enjoy! Store in a cool place until ready to serve.
