Meal Planning Made Easy

Meal Planning Made Easy with tips, tricks and a free printable meal planner!

Meal planning can be a daunting task. This is especially true if you’re planning your meals for a large family or if you want to plan them for an extended period of time. Fortunately, this task can be made easier when you’re organized and have created a process that works for you. These tips can help make meal planning an easier success for your family.

Family Favourites

In order to make your meal planning easy, you’ll want to come up with a list of favourite meals for everyone in the family. These meals should easy to make and should include a list of simple ingredients. This way, you can plan to make this meal a couple times throughout the month, knowing that everyone in the family will be more than happy to eat it often.

Once you have setup a meal plan, don’t be afraid to repeat!

Delicious Leftovers

You’ll also want to plan meals that make delicious leftovers. For example, you can make a chicken meal for dinner and then used the leftovers for lunch or even dinner again the next day. By using leftovers for lunch or dinner, you’ll be able to eliminate extra prep and cook time, making it easier than ever to plan your meals.

Freezer Meals

Another great way to make meal planning easy is to take advantage of the convenience of freezer meals. If your family loves lasagne, then make two casserole dishes of this meal, setting aside the uneaten portion in the freezer for another day. You can then pencil in “lasagne” on your meal planning calendar, knowing that you won’t need to make that meal next time!

Make a Calendar

Make use of a monthly or weekly meal planning calendar in order to create your menus and shopping lists. I put together a Free Printable Meal Planner Kitchen Set that are downloadable for free.  Simply print them off and get started!

Well, today is the day I run off your meal-planning kitchen set. I have tried to do it all in my head and it is not easy. I need a hard copy in front of me to do my work in planning meals. I still see that I am wasting too much food and I do not want to spend money for food that is wasted. Thank you for the free printouts.

One tip I use when I am making a casserole, I make two and freeze one. Then I know I have a quick meal ready in the freezer. I also make my own chicken stock and beef stock. I do not like the canned stock as I think it has too much salt in it. Thank you for your tips
