Well, the first month of school is almost over and so far we have already dealt with a cold, a head lice warning to parents, and exhausted grumpy kids after long days at school. We haven’t even started our after-school activities yet either! Thankfully A. Vogel has us covered this school year with three items that deserve a place in your Back to School Wellness Kit!
Anyone who has ever unpacked a kids school lunch bag knows that getting kids to eat a balanced meal at school is a challenge. Combine that one bite of sandwich with a busy day at school and it is no wonder my girls come home physically exhausted.
This is where Bio-Strath® Original Elixir’s unique formula of 61 essential vitamins, minerals and amino acids come into play. Recent clinical research shows that Bio-Strath, which is made from all natural nutritional yeast, is easier for growing bodies (and adults) to digest than traditional multi-vitamins, making it easier to harness the full benefits of the added nutrients.
Further clinical studies show that Bio-Strath also has the ability to reduce fatigue, promote concentration, improve responsiveness and enhance mental and physical performance to help students ages 4+ stay on the ball all school year.
Prevent & Treat Colds
Most parents will find that their kids are sick a lot during the school-year. In fact, most children catch an average of 6 to 10 colds every year. This is because of the immaturity of their immune system, and their general lack of proper hygiene. School is basically a germ factory. It’s no wonder it can feel like your children are sick from day one in September right through to the last day in June.
Approved by Health Canada as a safe and effective remedy for children over two years old, for both the prevention and treatment of colds and flu, Echinaforce® Junior is the ideal product to add to your back to school shopping list. A.Vogel’s Echinaforce® Junior is prepared from fresh flowers and works by fortifying your little ones the immune systems to help avert colds or flu. It comes in a chewable tablet that’s sweetened with natural orange flavour, making it both delicious and tooth friendly.
When taken as a treatment, it may help rid children of cold and flu symptoms faster and can reduces the risk of recurrence.
Say No to Head Lice
As previously mentioned, we have already had a note come home with one of the girls warning us that a child in her class has head lice. I’ve never encountered head lice in my life and I am not interested in an introduction at any point in the future. It gives me the creeps just thinking about it.
Thankfully after a frantic head-check we were in the clear because treating head lice doesn’t seem like a whole lot of fun.
Ward off pesky bugs from your kids’ heads with one drop of Aromaforce’s Lavender essential oil behind each ear before school. If it’s too late for prevention, you can make your own head lice treatment. Mix 20 drops of Tea Tree oil to 50 mL of a base oil. Massage into hair and let sit under a shower cap for 2 hours before washing with your regular shampoo. Repeat twice, 3 days apart.
When choosing essential oils for treatment purposes, going economical is not always best. Look for higher quality, 100% natural, unaltered, undiluted products like Aromaforce for better results.
Together these three products from A. Vogel work to make sure that everyone is in perfect health and energized for the school year! For more information visit the A. Vogel website or connect with them on Facebook and Twitter for giveaways, updates and fresh tips for healthy living.
