The cat walked through the world, with its whiskers, ears, and paws . . .
In this glorious celebration of observation, curiosity, and imagination, Brendan Wenzel shows us the many lives of one cat, and how perspective shapes what we see. When you see a cat, what do you see?
I read this to my 2 and 4 year old girls and they became completely enraptured by all different perspectives of each animal who encountered the cat. This is a great book to show children that everyone has a different way of seeing things.
I love that it accurately shows how each animal’s vision and sense perception affects what they see. A great jumping off point to spark curiosity about the natural world.
The illustrations are also really beautiful and could stand alone as works of art. The text is simple and repetitive which really helps to drive things home with little ears.
Overall, They All Saw a Cat is a wonderful picture book that kids will enjoy.
