This DIY Peppermint Lip Balm is quick & easy and full of nourishing ingredients for healthy looking lips. This is a great homemade gift or diy stocking stuffer!
DIY Peppermint Lip Balm
Ingredients:
1 Tablespoon Coconut oil
2 Tablespoons All natural beeswax
15 drops of pure therapeutic grade peppermint Essential oil
1 Tablespoon Shea butter
1 tablespoon All natural beeswax
You will also need:
Empty Chapstick tubes or small metal tins
Small Heavy duty glass bowl
Sauce pan
Directions:
1. Sanitize your metal tins in a pot of boiling water before use
2. Add all your ingredients to your small glass bowl
3. Fill your sauce pan about 1/3 way with warm water
4. Set your bowl into the sauce pan (make sure your water doesn’t exceed the top of the bowl)
5. Let your water get heat to a boil, while storing the inside ingredients with a small wooden spoon
6. Once your notice all your ingredient are melted, take your own off the heat, let set for a couple minutes, carefully remove your glass bowl from the water
7. Stir once more before scooping, Now using a tablespoon start scooping your melted lip balm into your metal containers
8. I let my lip balm sit on a plate in the fridge to harden quickly for about 10 minutes, then set on the counter for about 2 hours and it was finished
*Note: Always make sure you have clean utensils and containers when making body products
