This year, HP Canada has the perfect solution in the affordable HP Slate 7 tablet, one of HP’s latest products!
I was sent an HP Slate 7 tablet to review, and I was lucky enough to be sent a gorgeous red Slate 7 which is an exclusive colour no longer available in Canada. It is, however, available in really quite stylish looking Silver.
The HP Slate 7 tablet is a sleek and lightweight 7-inch touchscreen tablet which runs the Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) operating system. I haven’t had much experience with Android so I was curious as to how easy it would be to pick up. I can honestly say everything about it is just intuitive and easy from setting the tablet up right down to accessing the Google Play store and installing more apps.
I love that it comes with 8 GB of internal memory but it also has a mirco SD slot for expandable memory so if I happen to somehow use the entire 8 GB I don’t need to panic and start deleting items, I can just pop in an SD card for more memory.
The HP Slate 7 would also make a great gift for grandparents wanting to see their grandchildren more often. Since we got the Slate 7, Keira has been seeing a lot more of her grandparents as it is easy for me to hold as she runs around the house. I just installed Skype from the Google store and we were ready to go. The tablets rear and front-facing cameras make it so much easier to use for this purpose than my laptop as Keira doesn’t know how to sit still. It has really increased quality family time with her grandparents and Aunt. Since the HP Slate 7 is so easy to use it makes for a perfect gift for grandparents who are maybe not so tech savvy but would love to be able to connect with the rest of their family in a more “face to face” manner.

That one is definitely a lot more affordable than a lot of them. I would love to have a tablet but no idea how to go about choosing which one would be best
