Statements and Bills #shop

That is just a small part of the pile of bills and paperwork waiting to be filed away in my filing cabinet.  Every month the pile seems to get bigger and bigger as I try to pretend it doesn’t exist.  Worst is the thought of having to do my yearly clear-out and shred of anything old enough to get rid of.  Is this a familiar scenario to you?   Just the thought of all that paper gone to waste makes me cringe, but on the other hand I dislike online billing direct from each company because once you cancel your account there goes your access to historical bills.

That has all changed for me since I switched to ePost by Canada Post.

Welcome to ePost! #shop

Launched in 2000, ePost was the first and is the largest bill consolidator in Canada. Today, it is a personal, digital mailbox for over 7.5 million subscribers, offering 250 bills and statements from over a 100 mailers in a safe and secure way. And best of all, it”s completely free!

You can literally consolidate most if not all your bills and statements into an all-in-one convenient digital mailbox.  Cable, phone, utilities, credit cards, and so much more all available any time from anywhere online with a single log in to remember.  The best part is that they can be stored for up to seven years which gives me great peace of mind.Epost - Easy and Secure #shop

Worried about how secure your information is?  As the trusted provider of Canadians’ mail, Canada Post is committed to ensuring the security and privacy of your digital mail. Not only do they use advanced encryption technology but all data resides in Canada within 3 data centres utilizing bank-grade security.  If that isn’t secure or reliable enough for you, but they also make use of disaster-recovery replication technology and have off-site backups plus multiple redundant independent power supplies.

That seems far more safe and secure than the filing cabinet in my basement!

It was so easy to sign up for the service too, and I couldn’t believe just how quickly I was able to add my various bills and statements.  Just go to ePost, select “sign up” on the right side of the screen and fill in your personal information and you are ready to go.

List of Mailers you can add to ePost #shop

Now you are ready to click “Add a New Bill or Statement” and select from the list of companies any mailers you would like to switch over to your ePost account.  You will be asked for your account number so you will want to make sure you have your paper bills handy while going through the process.

There were only a few statements I was unable to add you, however, are able to make suggestions to Canada Post regarding companies you would like to see available within the service.

Now we can all enjoy the convenience of one log in and no piles of paper when it comes to our bills and statements.  Thank goodness that there is such a solution that fits so well into our fast paced lives!

I'm definitely checking into this. When it comes to bills, we are so incredibly unorganized.

I'd heard about this and briefly read about it but didn't understand what it was. Thanks for the review! I might switch over when I have some time on my hands -- I have boxes of bills!

I am terrible at filing away bills. They sometimes wind up in a huge stack until it's tax time. Looks like a great service.
