Kellogg’s Canada has introduced three new products to their breakfast line-up and being part of the Kellogger’s network I was able to try them out. The three new innovations include Special K Morning Shakes, Special K Flatbread Morning Sandwiches and Eggo Minis Waffles.
Special K Morning Shakes
I haven’t had a chance to try the morning shakes yet as I couldn’t find it at my local grocery store. (As in the one I can walk to easily.) So next time I go on an actual shopping trip I’ll be picking these up to give them a try.
The Special K Morning Shakes are available in three flavours: vanilla, strawberry and chocolate. These shakes have 10 grams of protein and are a source of 12 essential nutrients. I can see making this part of my routine when I start back at work and need some delicious nutrition on-the-go.
Special K Flatbread Morning Sandwiches
The Special K Flatbread Morning Sandwiches are available in three flavours: Egg, Ham and Pepper Jack Cheese, Egg & Sausage, Egg with Vegetables & Pepper Jack Cheese. They are made with Multi-Grain Flatbread and are 170 to 240 calories and can be ready in 90 seconds using the microwave. Each box contains two sandwiches.
When I am working I have a bad habit of stopping and getting breakfast sandwiches on my way to work and they can get expensive – in the pocket and on the waist line. I love that for the cost of what I used to pay for one breakfast sandwich I can get two of these and they aren’t fried so i can feel good about what I am eating. Since they heat up so quickly I can still eat these even when I am in a rush.
I tried the Egg with Vegetables and Pepper Jack Cheese and loved it. The cheese definitely made it super yummy.;
Eggo Minis Waffles
These new Eggo Minis waffles have all the same crispy outside and soft, light yummy inside as the classic Eggo waffles – they are just smaller. They make a great breakfast treat for your little ones since they are Trans fat free and a source of seven essential nutrients. These are such a fun addition to breakfast and an easy way to get your kids to eat up! They come in Original and Cinnamon Toast flavours.
I tried the Cinnamon Toast waffles because I’m a huge sucker for cinnamon (and syrup obviously) and I can attest to these being just as delicious as the regular waffles. Yum!
I received the above mentioned products as part of the Kelloggers network. This is a personal blog and all thoughts and opinions are my own.
