Eggnog Cinnamon Roll French Toast Casserole with a Brown Sugar Walnut Crumble

Ingredients:

2 Cans Refrigerated cinnamon rolls with icing
6 Eggs
2 Cups Eggnog
1 Tbsp Vanilla extract
1 tsp ground cloves
1 tsp nutmeg
1/4 tsp salt

Topping:

1 1/2 Cups Walnuts, chopped
1/2 cup cold butter, cubed
1 cup light brown sugar
1/3 cup flour
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
1/4 tsp ground cloves

 

Directions:

Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Grease a 13×9 baking dish.

Separate rolls from both cans of dough and set aside the icing. Cut each roll into 8 pieces and place into the baking dish.

In a medium bowl, whisk the eggs and mix in the remaining ingredients, including icing from the cinnamon roll cans. Pour the egg mixture over the cinnamon roll pieces.

In a medium bowl, combine topping ingredients and mix together using two knives, or your (clean) hands until crumbly.

Sprinkle the topping over the cinnamon rolls in an even layer.
