If you’re planning on holding a dinner party this autumn then this Rustic Autumn Glass Canister Centrepiece is the perfect way to embrace the changing seasons and celebrate the natural beauty of fall.

We are in the midst of autumn, a season synonymous with changing colours and pumpkin-spice flavoured treats. Although summer is my favourite season, fall is admittedly beautiful in its own way with vibrantly coloured leaves changing the landscape.

These simple glass canisters from wayfair are perfect for storing dry pastas or beans in the kitchen, however they inspired me to create these  seasonal centrepieces that are pretty enough for any dinner party – from Thanksgiving to even a fall wedding reception. I already have some ideas to transform this project for a winter look!

I love the fairy lights in this centrepiece, they look a bit like fireflies or fairies trapped in the canisters. This is also a much safer alternative to candles when it comes to lighting up your dinner table.

Arrange the reindeer moss and one of the string lights in the second smallest glass canister, ensuring the battery pack will sit on the top. If you can try to hide the actual wire among the moss.

Remove the flowers and leaves from the floral picks and arrange them along with  the string lights in the next largest glass canister. Again do your best to hide the wiring.

Arrange the vase filler, acorns and string lights in the smaller glass canister. I found it looked great when I looped some of the fairy lights within the round twig balls that came with the floral filler.

When ready to display, turn on the fairy lights and screw the lids on the canisters.

I like the centerpieces you shared here I like that they are in closed containers because if someone bumps them on the table, they will still be in good condition.
