Columbia Sportswear 2015 Winter Gear for Men and Women

Columbia Sportswear 2015 Winter Gear for Men and Women

I’m a big fan of Columbia sportswear, and have been ever since I worked retail during my college years.  Columbia carries everything you need to stay warm and cozy all winter long from boots to toques and everything in between!

I recently reviewed the Women’s Columbia Barlow Pass 550 TurboDown™ Jacket and now I am ready to share a few more items from the winter 2015 Columbia Sportwear line.

I have been living with raynauds disease for a decade now and it is part of the reason I hate winters.  It seems like my toes especially are always in a constant state of pain from the cold which makes it super important to me that my winter boots keep me warm, no matter how cold it gets outside.

When I saw the Women’s Minx™ Mid Omni-Heat™ Twill Boot, it was basically love at first sight.  They are so fashionable looking – ooh that faux fur and quilted grey twill fabric – but are built for warmth and comfort.

The Women’s Minx™ Mid Omni-Heat™ Twill Boot is rated at -25F/-32C, are waterproof and feature Omni-Grip™ – a non-marking traction rubber outsole with a grip that can handle the iciest of walkways. Like the Columbia Women’s coat I previously reviewed, the Minx features Omni-Heat™ reflective lining and 200g insulation which keeps my sensitive feet toasty and warm.  Unfortunately we haven’t had any snow or truly cold weather yet so I will be updating once I’ve tested these boots in some real Canadian winter conditions!

Columbia also has men covered with these Men’s Bugaboot™ Plus III Titanium Omni-Heat™ boots.   This boot is a powerhouse of winter performance, rated for weather as cold as -65F/-54C. Hopefully that is warm enough for my Jamaican husband.

The Men’s Bugaboot features the very best of Columbia’s technology along with 600g insulation, high quality material and Omni-Grip™ non-marking rubber outsole featuring winter traction lugs.  Like the Minx, the Bugaboot features Omni-Heat™ reflective lining, but it is also constructed to be absolutely waterproof.

They also feature a Techlite™ lightweight midsole which makes them super comfortable thanks to the cushioning.

We also checked out the Men’s In Bounds 650 TurboDown™ Interchange Jacket, unfortunately we were sent a large and my husband is definitely a small so I had my dad model it instead.

This Jacket is incredible.  First of all, it is three jackets in one.  You can wear the liner and shell separately, or the liner and shell worn together to experience the full warmth that 550-fill-power down and 100g toasty synthetic insulation can deliver.

It’s actually fairly lightweight feeling for a jacket that offers incredible warm with so many features like Omni-Heat™ reflective lining.  The outer jacket features a key pocket on the right arm, zippered pockets and underarm venting.  It also has an attached, adjustable storm hood that works well with a warm hat underneath to keep the wind out of your face as well as an adjustable, snap back powder skirt which helps to prevent wind from blowing up the jacket.

The inner jacket is hoodless but so warm with it’s 650 TurboDown fill – it is great on its own on a chilly November day but works wonders paired with the shell.

Overall, it is a great winter jacket, perfect for everyday winter use!

We don't have snow here in Florida but those boots are totally cool! If I plan a winter trip, I'll use Colombia products.
