Materials:

Yarn -Lion Brand Homespun in Pearl colour
Plastic Shopping Bags
Buttons
Hot Glue
Masking Tape
Tree Twigs

Directions:

To make the snowman shown, you will need 6 regular size plastic shopping bags.

1 bag for the head, 2 bags for the center body and 3 bags for the bottom body.

Lay the bags flat on a table, just spread them out as best as you can. Depending on what body part you start with, create a ball – start at the corners and begin to fold them into the center. Continue until you have a ball.

Squeeze the ball to remove all the air and secure it with masking tape. Add additional tape as needed, you want this to be a firm ball. Repeat with other two body parts.

Begin to wrap your ball with yarn. Just wrap and wrap and switch directions and wrap and wrap and when the ball is covered and no plastic bag is showing through, trim the yarn and tuck the end into the ball. You can secure with hot glue if desired.

Continue wrapping the other balls, creating a head and body.

Using hot glue, glue the three balls together. If your snowman won’t stand up, be careful you don’t push too much on it, because the shape of the ball will change and the yarn will begin to slip off. You can cut a popsicle stick in half and insert it in the bottom of the yarn ball to create a stand. Glue if desired.

Add buttons with hot glue.

Using your wire cutters, cut the twig to the desired length and add arms. Separate the strands of yarn, add a dollup of hot glue to the plastic bag ball, affix twigs and then slide the yarn back together to cover the glue.

Enjoy!
