Drip Dye Easter Eggs

Drip Dye Easter Eggs are a unique way to make super creative looking Easter Eggs! This is a really fun Easter Kids Activity!

So I will admit the idea for these drip dye Easter eggs came to me through a complete accident.  Sometimes I find the best ideas happen that way.  I love the tie dye look it creates and its just so unique!  Use contrasting colours for the best results.

Materials:

Hard-boiled or blown Eggs
Food Colouring
Vinegar
Water

Instructions:

In a 12 oz glass mix together 1 tbsp vinegar with 3/4 cup water and food colouring to achieve your desired shade.  (See below for a handy guide to achieve the same brilliant colours I did using regular food colouring)

Use a spoon or tongs to gently place egg in the glass being sure that the egg is completely submerged.

Leave submerged for 5-10 minutes or so depending on how deep you want the colour.

Once you have achieved the colour you desire for your base, choose a contrasting food colouring and drop 2-3 drips into the water over the egg.  Allow the food colouring to settle on the egg then carefully remove the egg from the water with a spoon.

Allow to completely dry then put up on display!

That is so pretty! I am so in awe by all the different techniques you have shared so far with dying eggs. I have to buckle down to which technique I will be doing with my kids this year! I can't do them all, even though I want to!
