Romantic Getaway to San Francisco

Romance is Alive in San Francisco

San Francisco in the springtime is filled with blossoming flowers and love is definitely in the air. If you visit in the fall, the crisp night air helps you pull your love closer to cuddle against the wind. San Francisco is easily one of the most romantic cities in the United States. Taking a romantic getaway to San Francisco should be on your list to do this year.

It is hard to come to San Francisco and not go visit the Golden Gate Bridge. Whether you walk hand-in-hand across The Bridge or take in the San Francisco Bay from the gardens at the visitor center, it is a truly magical place. Having the Golden Gate Bridge in romantic pictures has been going on for years and there have been quite a few engagements on top of this beautiful red bridge.

On your romantic getaway to San Francisco, stay in one of the many boutique hotels. Most of these hotels are artsy or eclectic and are no strangers to luxury. Enjoying a bubble bath with the lights of the city outside your window is a great way to cater in the night. If you want a higher end hotel, the Four Seasons is beautifully crafted and easily fits your romantic needs. For a true romantic getaway, go for the day to the Ritz Carlton at Half Moon Bay. Staying there might be pricey, so go for lunch or their wine happy hour every Friday. The grounds overlook the cliffs of Half Moon Bay and are easily one of the most romantic spots in San Francisco.

On Saturday mornings, head down to the Ferry Building on Embarcadero and take in one of the largest Farmer’s Markets. Here you will find fresh-picked flowers, handcrafted wine, and custom-made candles. It is a little bit of country love in the heart of the city. Strolling through the market for a couple hours in the morning is the perfect way to start out the day. Walk a little south to the park and have a little picnic from the bounty you picked up at the market.

Whether you prefer sheer luxury or love watching the waves crash in, San Francisco has you covered. The city is alive and filled with romance around every corner.
