Decorating

Decorating your home pumpkin themed for the season spreads joy to everyone visiting your humble abode. Checking out trends like at home decor Canada allows you to bring top of the line decorative ideas to your home. Whether you’re stuck inside, or enjoying the brisk weather – every detail counts.

The Farmer’s Market

An old adage comes into play that says when you pay by the pound you will soon be run aground. Grocery stores make a plentiful profit on charging their customers this way for the convenience of being at the corner store. The key to getting the best prices is to avail yourself of your local farmer’s market or pumpkin farm. With such an abundance, you can not only find the perfect shape for decoration but save a pretty penny to boot.

Beyond the Pedestrian

Artistry has been brought to the traditional pumpkin. A knife is not the only utensil that can be used as many people are painting them for that extra pop this season. The seeds can be used for a tasty treat near Halloween. People have started to make pumpkin fries for that fall accompaniment to many meals. They can be used as a component to crackers when made into humus. Fresh ones can be rendered down for their essence in facial masks or body rubs. As Thanksgiving approaches, one can think beyond the normal pie. Small pie pumpkins can be used as decorative bowls for a hearty leftover turkey chili or other savory dishes. Your imagination is the only limit with the versatility of the pumpkin.

Vibrant in color, aromatic, and having many unique textures and tastes, the pumpkin is that budget friendly component for fun this fall. The key is to find a place where they specialize in mass production of this fruit. Once you haul them home, many uses besides the traditional pies and jack o lanterns exits for the time between Halloween and Thanksgiving. With a little ingenuity, your family will be grateful for all the pumpkin surprises you have in store for them this season

I love fall. And even though my kids are adults now, I still enjoy going to pick out a pumpkin and carving it. Love roasted (and salted) pumpkin seeds too :)
