My 90 Day Weight Loss Challenge – Days 1-30

Back on December 11th I shared with you all that I would be starting a 90 day weight-loss challenge sponsored by Creative Bioscience.

When I started the challenge my goal was to return to my pre-pregnancy weight and sizing and then maintain it going forward. Prior to starting the 90 Day Weight-Loss Challenge I had gotten larger than my pregnancy weight.  To get to my desired weight I needed to lose about 20-25lbs.

I started phase one of the HCG 1234 diet and loved that it involved eating as much fatty foods as I wanted.  I’ve always been an emotional eater but over the last year it really got away from me.   

Phase two meant cutting out pretty much all my snacking and getting back to eating better foods.  This was harder than I thought but when I saw after just one day that I had begun to lose weight I made it a point to follow the diet.

That was before the holidays.  (ugh!)  I will admit that once the holidays hit the diet went completely out the window.  I did manage to continue to avoid emotional eating.  I did continue to drink only water, tea and coffee aside from one glass of juice  but absolutely no soda which I didn’t think would ever happen! I also kept to smaller portions but since I was eating at other people’s house the foods were definitely outside of the recommended foods.

Despite that little glitch I was able to maintain the weight loss I had achieved prior to the holidays.  I haven’t managed to lose anything since then either, but I think I must have stalled the diet by eating the wrong stuff.  Still, I do view it as an achievement that I managed to not gain any weight during the holidays.

So from Day 1 to Day 30 I managed to lose 8 lbs – not bad all considering and it wasn’t the least bit painful!

I am going to take a week off and just let my body stabilise and then I will start another 30 days of the HCG 1234 diet and drops and this time I have no holidays to throw me off track.

Congratulations on your 8 lb weight loss! That really is a big accomplishment and takes discipline. My family & I embarked on a healthier lifestyle this new year, and I have to say that it has been worthwhile. Keep up the great work, and looking forward to hearing about your progress going forward!

Eight pounds is great! Good for you and congratulations! I think I met you in person at She’s Connected and you looked great to me. Then again I applaud people making commitment to fitness and weight loss as long as it makes them happy.

Good luck with the challenge! Good for you cutting out the soda – that’s likely one of the most effective things you can do to lose weight and be healthier in general!
